Born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska, Renee grew up participating in various youth music ensembles, including eight years in the Northland Youth Choir under late choral director Melissa Downes.
Renee holds a Master of Music from Miami University in Oxford, OH and received a double Bachelors Degree in Music Education and Performance in Cincinnati, OH, where she studied clarinet under retired CSO clarinetist Carmine Campione, and voice with Dr. Nicolae Pop.
While living in Cincinnati, Renee enjoyed working as a free-lance musician, private clarinet teacher, and masterclass instructor. Since moving back to Alaska in 2023 with her husband, Shane, and their four children, Renee is thrilled to be re-incorporated into the Fairbanks music community! She currently plays Principal Clarinet with the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra and directs the church choir at North Pole Missionary Chapel.
Amy’s musical journey began at the age of six when she first began piano lessons. At age ten, she added the harp to her repertoire, sparking a lifelong passion for both instruments.
Her love for collaboration grew during her sophomore year of high school and continued throughout college. Throughout those formative years, Amy became a trusted accompanist, beautifully supporting numerous vocal and instrumental groups, as well as soloists.
For over a decade, Amy has shared her expertise and love for music by teaching private piano and harp lessons. Today, she brings that same dedication to her home in North Pole, where she lives with her husband and son.
